Kaitawa Reserve
Kaitawa Reserve has a playground, a keyhole basketball court, picnic tables and plenty of native planting - something to keep the whole family entertained for hours on end. Follow the path down to the Wharemauku Stream to find a flying fox or explore the reserve and all its natural beauty!
The reserve is made up of a mix of open space and remnant planting- over 43,000 native trees, shrubs, flaxes and grasses have been planted by Kāpiti Mana Forest & Bird since 1996.
Take a scenic walk to Hookway Grove Playground or up the hill to the Paraparaumu water tank for panoramic views of the Kāpiti Coast. Access via Kaitawa Crescent, the far end of Hookway Grove and Riwai Street.
