Suzy Cato comes to Kāpiti
We have a very special guest at Paraparaumu library these school holidays – beloved children’s author and presenter Suzy Cato ONZM.
Many of us grew up with Suzy in our lives. Her bright smile, bangs, big glasses, and colourful 90s fashion lit up TV screens across the motu, fostering in many young Kiwis a life-long love of reading, music, and play.
Bring the whānau and join her at Paraparaumu library on 10 July from 10am–11am for interactive storytelling, singalongs, and a celebration of books, imagination, and the wonder of childhood.
There may even be time for a hug and a photo after the storytelling session, and a chance to have your copies of her book signed, so bring those along too.
Suzy was recently recognised as an officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the King’s Birthday Honours List for her services to children’s television and entertainment.
The much-anticipated event is part of a regional tour featuring six library sessions across the Wellington region.
