Are you passionate about creating smart, accessible, user-focused web content? Do you love digging into data to improve digital experiences? Join our Communications, Engagement and Events team and help shape how our community connects with the Council online. 

We’re on the lookout for a proactive Web Content & Channels Advisor who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and take our digital channels to the next level. If you're a curious, collaborative content pro who gets excited about plain language, web best practice and creating seamless online journeys — we’d love to hear from you. 

About the role 

In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for web content across our platforms. You’ll: 

  • Write and edit friendly, accessible content using our CMS a. 

  • Regularly review and refresh web pages to ensure they’re current, engaging and easy to navigate. 

  • Track site performance and user behaviour using tools like Google Analytics and turn those insights into real improvements. 

  • Fix broken links, improve navigation, and help make our site a place our community can rely on. 

  • Collaborate across teams to deliver key messages that connect with our diverse audiences.

About you | He kōrero mōu 

You’re a digital communicator with a sharp eye for detail, a love of clean design, and a passion for making online content better for everyone.  

You’ll bring: 

  • proven experience managing web content using a CMS 

  • A strong grasp of HTML,  accessibility (WCAG) and usability standards. 

  • Confidence using Google Analytics and other tools to inform your decisions. 

  • Excellent writing and editing skills – you know how to keep things clear, concise and user-friendly. 

  • Experience with design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
