Kāpiti College Presents The Kooky, Upside-Down World of The Addams Family Musical This year, Kāpiti College brings to life the quirky and darkly humorous world of The Addams Family, a musical comedy based on the iconic characters created by Charles Addams. The show tells the story of Wednesday Addams, who falls in love with Lucas Beineke, a seemingly normal young man from a "respectable" family. When the two families come together for a dinner, their vastly different lifestyles clash, sparking a series of unexpected and hilarious events. Despite the chaos, the Addams family comes to realise the true meaning of love and acceptance. The production is a collaborative effort, with students playing key roles both on and off the stage. The cast of 40 students will perform in the spotlight, while others work behind the scenes on set design, lighting, sound, and stage management. This hands-on experience provides students with invaluable exposure to all aspects of theatre production.
