Victor Weggery Reserve playground revamp
We're revamping some of Victor Weggery Reserve playground this 2023/24 financial year.
Some equipment in the playground has reached the end of its safe life and will be replaced. Work will begin October 2023, and will be completed early December.
New equipment includes:
- tower with tube slide and climbing features
- climbing
- junior slide (to be part of existing junior module).

Latest news
5 December 2023 – The team are working hard to complete this upgrade. The high water table means we've had to delay installing the larger tower portion of this upgrade. We need the ground to be completely dry to go ahead with installing this part; at this stage, with the rain we've been having in Kāpiti, it looks like this will be installed early in 2024.
We're completing what we're able to in the meantime, so we can reopen the other areas of this playground by the end of Friday 8 December. We'll post updates on this page as we have more information.
