You don’t have to go away this summer – stay and play with friends and family! Obviously we have a pretty awesome coastline, but did you know about all the hidden gems we have in our Kāpiti parks? Check out some of our favourite places to play below and stay and play in Kāpiti this summer!

Basketball half courts

Want to work on your drop shot or practice some hoops? We've got several half courts in our parks around Kāpiti:

Enjoy the bush

Do you like to enjoy the peace and quiet of the bush? Or do you prefer a more challenging walk for some exercise? Kāpiti has some awesome spots for an easy walk in the bush to appreciate nature, as well as some more challenging walks for those wanting more exercise (with some spots giving you the prime views of our beautiful District!). Our recommendations are:

Bring the whole whanāu down to one of our Splashpads on the Coast - fun for all ages and a great way to enjoy the sunshine while cooling off in the water! We've got two splashpads in Kāpiti:
