Nominate a local hero
Our annual Civic Awards celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding contributions of our local residents, while the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards are a way to recognise groups and organisations that help make Kāpiti a great place to live.
Nominations closed 31 May 2022.
Civic Awards
The Civic Awards are Council’s highest honour for individual residents and groups who’ve made a lasting impact in the community. Based on public nominations, Council gives awards based on exemplary service or leadership for their community.
Civic Awards are awarded to individuals and groups who have:
- through compassion and kindness, strengthened community connections; and/or
- enhanced the wellbeing of vulnerable people in our community; and/or
- created new ways to help our communities feel safe, healthy, thriving, and connected.
Nominations for the 2022 Civic awards closed 5pm, Tuesday 31 May. Keep an eye out here and in Everything Kāpiti for updates!
