Civic and Community Awards 2019
Nominations for the 2019 Civic and Community Awards are now open.
Civic Awards are a way to recognise the efforts some of our local residents contribute into helping make our community vibrant, diverse and thriving.
Every year a number of people are recognised for their tireless work with nominations for a Civic Award.
Civic Awards are awarded to local residents who:
- have carried out meritorious voluntary service for the benefit of the District;
- have made a significant contribution to the welfare of others within New Zealand or overseas;
- have made outstanding personal achievements in their field.
If you would like to nominate an individual for a Civic Award, check out the criteria and conditions, and fill out a nomination form. Nominations close 31 May 2019 at 5pm.
Wellington Airport Community Awards are a way to recognise groups or an organisation that help make Kāpiti a great place to live.
Kāpiti Coast District Council and Wellington Community Trust, together with Wellington Airport, work together to honour the efforts made by groups of residents in our District.
The Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards focus on volunteer groups in the categories of Heritage & Environment, Health & Wellbeing, Arts & Culture, Sports & Leisure, Education & Child/Youth Development, and Rising Star.
A Community and Civic Award dinner is held each year to celebrate the nominees and winners and their acheivements.
