Recycling
When you dispose of recyclable materials, it’s important you sort it properly, so we’ve outlined what to do with a wide range of items. Throwing rubbish in with your recycling means the whole bin is contaminated, and may contaminate a whole truckload. This means the truckload may not be able to be recycled, and will have to go to landfill.

What happens to my recycling?

Public place recycling trial
Council are running a park-based station for recycling your waste while you’re out and about. This trial is being run at Te Uruhi/Maclean Park in Paraparaumu, from January 2020 until April 2021.
