The Extravaganza Fair Summer Tour

Kapiti Primary School, Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast

SAT 13 APR 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Roll up. Roll up. Roll up! Welcome to Season 9 of New Zealand's largest and most fabulous travelling festival/fair! The Extravaganza Fair! Summer Tour 2023-2024 !!! The Extravaganza Fair is a community-centred event with a creative and sustainable focus. It is a family affair, free entry for kids, gold coin entry for the adults. A fun day out with a full weekend's entertainment - from music & shows, to stalls, rides & food. We bring a spark of fun, grassroots shows & old-school values which is a thrill for young and old. Unique & interesting market stalls, arts and craft, food, musical entertainment, the fabulous Ashton Family Circus, Jeremy Penguin, NZ’s #1 juggler, Burns the Dragan, Living Statues, LuckyStar from festivals such as Splore, Cubadupa & Shipwrecked. Unique to NZ tiny homes, solar-powered cafes and stage, kids shows & games. Yes!! Our event is running on Solar Power! We really should make more of a song and dance about it all these years - but Jonas is very humble in the background putting in all the mahi. How do we do this? Our fire engine stage is a massive solar power station, capturing the suns energy into solar panels on the roof, going into a lithium battery bank to store, ready to power up our stages, cafes, tattooist etc. All our mobile homes are solar powered too. With our retro-inspired sun shade lounges and hang-out zones, you'll want to stay all day!!! Plenty of interactive toys and games so parents can relax knowing there is heaps for the kids to stay entertained and of the screens! Fantastic food options from healthy lunches to classic fair indulgence. Havana coffee, fresh juice right through to real fruit ice cream. Throughout the day we have talented musicians & performers. And kids games with prizes up for grabs! - Kieran Callaghan - live music & resident MC - Ashton Family Circus - fun for the whole family - Gypsta Tricksta Kids Show - Jeremy Penguin - NZ’s #1 Juggler - Burns the Dragon - Living Statues - The Troubadours Vardo stage & open mic - Guest visits from Mr Conrad Coom & other roaming performers - Tug of War, Musical Bean Bags, Sack Races, 4 man ski race We are aiming to be a sustainable event. We have banned all one-use plastic bags way back before the law came in including no plastic bottles. Instead we offer canned drinks we know are recycled. Or freshly made drinks in bio cups. Remember to pack your reusable water bottles and fill up at our Free Water Station. All keep cups are accepted. Only paper straws are used if needed. In this day and age, every little bit helps. We have our very own Recycle Centre Trailer with recycle warriors on site sorting and helping you to use the correct bins. Aiming to become 'carbon neutral' by donating to tree planting charities at the end on each season. (See our FB page for details). All dates and towns will be listed here and on our Facebook page. Join our group page and share your photos. For open mic details contact [email protected]. For stall holder applications, visit The Extravaganza Fair's website. (Please note: we are a travelling community, together creating a full event. Unfortunately, we don't take casual stall holders but are always open to welcoming new full-time members to this unique and fun tour of NZ.)
