Step into action with Sustainable Spring!

The Sustainable Spring programme is a community-Council collaboration which helps to build connected, resilient, and sustainable Kāpiti communities. This September and October, join us for a wide range of fun and interactive workshops and learning opportunities. 

In response to rising fuel and energy costs, the 2026 Sustainable Spring programme will include a focus on supporting communities to: 

Improve household energy efficiency and reduce energy costs
Build local food security and self-sufficiency 
Strengthen community connection and collaboration

The programme also includes a focus on various waste reduction initiatives, which are supported through Council's waste levy.

Details of this years’ programme are being finalised, and the full programme of events will be available here in mid-August.
