We’re looking for a Payroll Officer to join our Payroll, Reporting and Insights team, supporting the timely and accurate payment of our kaimahi. In this role, you’ll help ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time, supporting the essential services we deliver to our community.

You may be new to payroll and keen to build your career, or an experienced payroll professional looking for a change. What matters most to us is your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work well as part of a small, supportive team.

This is a small team of payroll officers. You will join our wider People and Capability Group, and report to Manager Payroll, Reporting and Insights. Together as a team we ensure payroll is accurate, on-time, and done with integrity, following good processes whilst also looking for improvements.

Existing knowledge of iChris payroll system an advantage.

To excel in this role, you will be process orientated, curious and value accuracy of your and the wider teams work.

You’ll also bring strong knowledge of and experience in:
  • Excellent software literacy and numeracy skills with strong Microsoft office skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
