Apply for a building consent or PIM
Apply for a building consent or project information memorandum (PIM) under Section 33 or 45 of the Building Act 2004.
Apply for a certificate for public use (CPU)
Apply for a certificate for public use as an assurance that a building (or part of a building) is safe for the public to use while construction is taking place.
Apply for a certificate of acceptance (COA)
A certificate of acceptance provides limited assurance that Council is satisfied that unconsented building work complies with the Building Act.
Apply for a code compliance certificate (CCC)
Notify Council of an owner-builder doing restricted building work.
Apply for a solid fuel heater building consent
This form is for residential-use applications only. For other uses, a full building consent application is required.
Apply to amend a building consent
An amendment is required when any change is proposed to an approved building consent.
Apply to amend a compliance schedule
A compliance schedule lists the specified systems in a building, and the procedures required to keep them in good working order.

Apply for an extension of time to begin for your building project, if it has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Apply for an exemption to undertake low-risk building work at minimal cost.
