Challenges in a Changing World – what kind of future do we want? Humanity is at a crossroads One path into the future leads to increasing social and economic division, environmental destruction, war and planetary peril. The other path leads to increasing social harmony, economic and environmental balance, and a golden era of peace. Throughout history, especially at times of crisis, great spiritual teachers have emerged to show humanity the next step forward. According to British artist, author and esotericist Benjamin Creme, a group of such spiritual teachers is now living in the modern world ~ Maitreya, the World Teacher and The Masters of Wisdom ~ to help and inspire humanity in its task of global transformation ~ to create a civilisation based on sharing, justice and peace; for humanity to act - to share and save our world. From ancient times, a body of spiritual teachings known as the Ageless Wisdom has been handed down from generation to generation. A systematic and comprehensive account of the evolution of consciousness in humanity and nature, it describes how the universe came to exist, how it operates, and humanity’s place within it. As humanity matures, further aspects of this previously hidden knowledge are released in a wider, more open manner. Throughout the last 100 years, the Ageless Wisdom Teachings have been communicated through individuals such as Helena Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, and later by Alice A. Bailey and Helena Roerich, followed by Benjamin Creme. Along the lines of these teachings, humanity is once again at a critical point in its further development, now with a growing awareness of the necessity for unity, justice and peace. According to these teachings, Maitreya – known as the Teacher for this coming Age of Aquarius – will emphasise the utter necessity for peace, and that the complete renunciation of war can only be achieved by trust.
