Art workshops for children
Toi Mahara, Waikanae, Kapiti Coast

Toi MAHARA is offering two workshops for children during the school holidays Make a transfer print of a New Zealand insect In this workshop with artist and teacher Chrissie Sallis, children will create a transfer print of an insect from Aotearoa. Children can create their own drawings or make a print from found images. Suitable for age 7+. All materials are provided. Draw your favourite character In this workshop with artist and teacher Kimbra Taylor, children will draw a favourite film or TV character. Kimbra will teach the children how to engage their right hemisphere to enhance their drawing skills. Suitable for 10–14 year olds. All materials are provided. Children can bring an image of a favourite character if there is one they’d particularly like to draw. Cost is $10/child/workshop.
