Ōtaki International Kite Festival

Come fly with us at the Ōtaki Kite Festival, one hour’s drive north of Wellington, presented by the Ōtaki Promotions Group Inc. Fun for all the family, this free event brings together NZKA kite fliers from all around New Zealand and a number of international kite flyers to Ōtaki Beach for our annual festival. Spectacular kites of all shapes, sizes, and styles thrill those viewing from the beach and above the dunes. We have free all-day entertainment on our live stage, free Kelly and Co Big Dig on both days of the festival, children's entertainment, market stalls, and food vendors.
