Mayors Taskforce for Jobs – programme currently closed

The Mayors Taskforce for Jobs (MTFJ) is a nationwide network of New Zealand Mayors, working together to support young rangatahi aged 16–24 into employment, education, training, and other positive activities in our communities.

Our Council has previously delivered this programme with funding from the MTFJ Community Employment Programme — a partnership between Local Government New Zealand and the Ministry of Social Development. This funding supported courses and events aimed at helping local rangatahi who face barriers to employment build their skills and confidence.

Please note: the MTFJ programme is currently closed.
We're not taking registrations or running courses at this time. However, we’ve kept this page online for anyone looking for information about the programme. If the programme resumes, we’ll update this page.
