Over the Fence Cuppa | Neighbours Aotearoa

Registrations are now open

Having an over the fence cuppa in the beautiful Kāpiti Coast is the perfect way to take that first step in getting to know your neighbours better – or to renew the relationships you've already created. It encourages us all to connect with our neighbours and celebrate our neighbourhoods.

Getting to know your neighbours strengthens our community, making us all healthier, safer and more resilient – especially during emergencies when we need to support each other.

Over the Fence Cuppas

Over the Fence Cuppas are get-togethers organised by and for your local neighbourhood and are easy to organise. These fun and friendly events for you and your neighbours will help you know who might need extra help in an emergency – and who might have special skills to give you extra help, too.

There's no set format; you can host a cuppa in your home or garden, on the berm, or even in a local park. You might decide to share morning tea, a barbecue, supper, or anything in between. How you choose to run your Over the Fence Cuppa event is up to you. There's plenty of great ideas on the Neighbours Aotearoa website.
