We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Advisor to join our Connected Communities team to lead meaningful engagement, build trusted relationships, and help shape positive outcomes for the communities we serve. This is an opportunity for a strategic thinker and confident communicator who knows how to navigate complex environments, influence stakeholders, and drive community-focused initiatives with impact.

Nā tōu rourou | What you will bring

To excel in this role, you will have 10+ years relevant experience in community development and strategic advice in local/central government or the community sector, including leading complex initiatives and partnerships, and hold a current and valid NZ Driver licence.
  
You’ll also bring strong knowledge of and experience in:
Working across teams to deliver joined-up, community-focused outcomes
  • Brokering community partnerships that drive community-led solutions
  • Managing grants, funding or community investment programmes
  • Build capability in others
  • Turning community insights into advice and action
  • Strong communication skills: from facilitation through to report writing
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation across competing demands
