It's week two of the school holidays and we have plenty for tamariki (children) to do in our pools and libraries – or head along to Ōtaki for a day of fun seeing all it has to offer!

In this week's edition, we're starting the replacement of the Paekākāriki seawall, see what sustainability looks like for the build of Te Ara Whetū, the new library Hub for Waikanae, and meet Zula, a lovable black lab-cross searching for her forever home.

Please note all our Customer Service Centres, including the front desk at the Council building, will be closed on Friday 17 April. You can still get in touch with us by phone on 0800 486 486.

Also, if you are travelling between Waikanae and Peka Peka, we suggest you plan ahead, take a detour, and allow extra travel time while the housing developer builds a new roundabout on Old SH1.
