Why it's special

Award-winning design

Recognized as the Playground of the Year 2023, Lorna Irene Drive Reserve is designed with inclusivity in mind. It offers a space where all children, regardless of ability, can play together.

Community-driven contributions

The inclusive swing was made possible by the fundraising efforts of Kris Dahl and her son Cyrus, who is living with cerebral palsy. Their campaign has donated inclusive swings to several playgrounds across the Wellington Region.

More than just a playground

It's a space where children of all abilities can explore, learn, and grow together. The equipment is designed not only to be fun but to support physical, sensory, and cognitive development, providing an enriching environment for every child.
