Sports grounds and courts in Kāpiti
We maintain 16 parks with field markings for winter and summer sports, and 8 locations with courts.
These grounds and courts are maintained by the council and used by sports clubs, schools, businesses, community groups and recreational users.
When you need to book
You should book a sports ground or court if you need exclusive use of the facility.
This includes:
- sports club activities
- tournaments
- organised community events
- school activities
- business events
- large family or group activities.
Casual bookings are suitable for one-off organised activities, such as a family or business tournament.
You do not need to make a booking for individual recreational play if you do not need exclusive use of the sports ground or court.
How to apply
You can request a booking using our online sports grounds and courts booking form.
Before you apply:
- send your booking request at least 2 weeks before your planned event
- check our sports ground fees and charges
- remember that submitting a request does not confirm your booking
After you submit your request, our team will contact you to confirm whether the facility is available.
