Maclean Park, Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast
SUN 29 MAR 8:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
We’ve checked the tide timetable – Anchor your calendar now to take part in the 2026 Web Genius Kāpiti Run for Youth on Sunday 29 March 2026 – Raising funds for rangatahi in Kāpiti since 2011 while having fun strolling or running the beautiful Kāpiti coastline. We are a lively, family-friendly event focused on fostering community spirit and supporting organisations that encourage and uplift local young people. RAIN or SHINE, get ready to have fun! We know Kāpiti Run for Youth helps to support amazing community work done by local fundraising partners. We have 13 incredible fundraising partners you can choose to support and raise funds for. We are very proud of them all and the work they do to uplift the youth of Kāpiti. Each partner brings something unique to the table, from providing essential resources and mentorship to creating spaces where young people can thrive. By supporting rangatahi through education, creativity, employment, and well-being initiatives, they ensure our youth are not just supported but empowered to reach their full potential. Our partners are creating a brighter tomorrow for the young people of Kāpiti! Sign up opens early Jan 2026 - Individuals & teams walk or run from Paraparaumu Beach (Maclean Park) to Raumati Beach and back. For those choosing the 12km walk or run, they do two circuits. Choose your adventure – 6km or 12km run or walk. Whether it's a leisurely stroll or a mad dash to be the first across the finish, choose the event that suits you best, and which of our amazing fundraising partners you're going to raise funds for. On race day grab your dog & your mates and head down to the beach for fun, family & fitness. Registration 8.30am to 9.45am, briefing at 9.45am and all walkers & runners starting together at 10am. Once your profile is set-up online, let your family, friends & work mates know so they can sponsor your efforts. We encourage every participant to raise $20 through sponsorship instead of paying an entry fee. All entrants receive regular campaigns to motivate their efforts. Join your community for a feel-good morning on the beach. Your fundraising makes a difference in the lives of our young people! BYO sunhat, sunscreen, and water on the day. Sponsored spot prizes, treats for kids, certificates for participating & free Paekākāriki Mini Pops for everyone. Business Sponsorship Platinum $1,000+, Gold $500, Silver $250, Bronze $125 is available for businesses who want to support the underlying work of this event and rangatahi youth of Kāpiti. In 2025 we were grateful to 58 local business sponsors for $15,125 that can be viewed on our website. Sponsorship for the 2026 campaign will open late January 2026. Fundraising Model We focus on returning as much money as we can back to the Kāpiti community to those working with rangatahi.
