Ronald McDonald House Variety Concert
Southward Theatre, Paraparaumu, Kapiti Coast

The popular Kāpiti Variety Concert returns to Southwards Theatre on Wednesday 15 April 2026, with performances at 2.30 pm and 7.00 pm. Following the success of the previous show supporting the Sir Jon Trimmer Youth Arts Bursary, this year’s concert will raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities, which supports families when their child is in a hospital away from home. A colourful line-up of local and national talent includes Tina Cross ONZM performing with Australian musician John Bettison. Other performers include Andrew London, Sam Manzanza, Unity Wara, Steve Poulton, Carylann Martin, and the Big Little Uke Band. The programme also features performances from students of Kāpiti, Paraparaumu and Ōtaki Colleges, along with local dancers from Sweet Studios. This lively showcase celebrates community talent while supporting a great cause. Before the matinee performance, families can enjoy activities on the lawn at Southwards, including children’s games, vintage car rides, and a fun “world-first” relay contest — making it a great outing for all ages. All proceeds from the event will support Ronald McDonald House Charities. If you have any accessibility needs, please let us know when purchasing your tickets. We will do our best to accommodate requests where possible, noting that accessible seating is limited. Please note, Tina Cross will perform only at the 7.00 pm show.
