Housing Workshop: Insurable? Legal? and How Am I Going to Pay for It?!

The third in a series of free workshops encouraging property owners to consider building an Additional Dwelling - funded by Kāpiti Coast District Council. This workshop: Finance, Legal and insurance How am I going to pay for it? What are the different legal options for sharing my property? Is it insurable? In this workshop we look both at different finance options for your additional dwelling, with the help of a bank and a mortgage broker - and explore with lawyers everything from subdivision and crosslease to renting-to-buy and co-ownership. And we also consider whether what you propose will be covered by insurers. What if your property is in a natural hazards zone? For example, flooding or erosion? Kai will be served.
