Soundscape Series: Lockie Bennett Trio

Lockie Bennett is a jazz guitarist based in Wellington, who specialises in bop-oriented music. Lockie has performed and recorded regularly as both a leader and a side man with some of New Zealand’s top musicians. This drumless permutation of the trio features Alex Trask on alto saxophone and Elijah Mulheron on bass. Opening act: to be announced About The Mostly Music Soundscape Series A curated series of intimate live music experiences showcasing the depth, texture and emotion of sound. Each performance invites you to immerse yourself in a new soundscape, informed by genre, sonic craft, and music as an art form. Designed for music lovers who want more than a background soundtrack, this series celebrates live performance with a diverse range of acclaimed performers. Each event will also feature a short opening set from a local, young emerging artist — offering up-and-coming performers the opportunity to step into a professional live performance setting and share their music with a listening audience.
