Child restraints
Have your say
We're seeking feedback on our draft Speed Management Plan 2026–36. The plan proposes changes to speed limits and safety improvements for local roads in Kāpiti from 2027–30 and beyond. Have your say by midnight, Tuesday 15 September.
Even if you’re driving safely with your kids in the car, other drivers may not be paying as much attention. If an accident happens, child restraints could prevent a tragedy.
Did you know that one of Council’s road safety initiatives is offering free child restraint checks? Our Transport Safety Coordinator Bruce can undertake a quick check to make sure your car seat is installed correctly, and is properly protecting your precious cargo.
