Upcoming pool closure

Published 18 Jul 2016

Coastlands Aquatics Centre will be closed for two days this month for annual maintenance.

The centre will be closed on Thursday 28 July from 8am to 4pm and Friday 29 July from 8am to 4pm, but open as normal between 5.30am to 8am and 4pm to 9pm on these days.

Recreation Services Manager Brent Harvey says the work is planned annual maintenance on the centre’s multi-purpose 25 x 10 metre pool’s moveable floor.

“This regular maintenance helps ensure our centre stays at a high standard for Kāpiti residents now and into the future,” he says.

“While we’re closed we’ll be using the opportunity to do some other maintenance and cleaning."

There will be no impact to learn to swim classes or swim club activities, however, the following AquaFit classes will be cancelled:

  • Thursday 28 July 9.15am deep water class
  • Friday 29 July 9.15am high impact class
  • Friday 29 July 10.30am low impact class

Ōtaki Pool will remain open during this time.
