Are you an experienced lifeguard with leadership aspirations, or have proven leadership skills and are passionate about customer service?
Come and join our Aquatics Team!
You will be one in a pool of Team Leader Lifeguards reporting to the Manager Aquatic Operations. You will be rostered in teams to work a cyclical roster between the pools (Coastlands Aquatic Centre, Otaki Pool and our seasonal Waikanae Pool).
When on duty you will lead and organise your team, manage water quality, communicate and collaborate with our frontline team, liaise with contractors, and conduct ‘in service training’. You’ll also manage and report on incidents, ensure the facility has the highest of standards for supervision, health & safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
Salary range for this role is $64,998 - $76,468 per annum pro-rata.

To excel in this role, you will have proven leadership experience and hold a current and valid NZ Driver licence.

- Managing and leading a team.
- Be capable of dealing with the public in a confident, calm and friendly manner and dealing with emergency situations.
- Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and willingness to and capability for dealing with a wide range of people within and outside the organisation.
- Hold a current poolside lifeguard qualification and relevant NZQA water quality management unit standards or be willing to obtain them alongside other professional development opportunities.
- Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.
- Be able to work all shifts of the roster – weekdays, weekends, morning and late shifts.
