Quinovic NZ PGA Championship: 19 to 22 February 2026
9 Feb 2026, 3:44 PM
Council and the Economic Development Kotahitanga Board are excited to support Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club hosting the championship. This major event is a great opportunity to showcase the Kāpiti Coast as a vibrant visitor destination, support local businesses, and enjoy world‑class golf.
If you wish to attend, tickets are free but registration is required.
Traffic management and parking
Please follow parking advice to help minimise impacts on the Paraparaumu Beach community during the tournament:
- There is no public, spectator, or member parking at Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club.
- All parking is located at Kāpiti Landing, 167–169 Kāpiti Road (access via Lodestar Place).
- Free shuttles will run between Kāpiti Landing and the Golf Club during tournament hours.
We expect the area to be busy, particularly over the weekend, when other local events such as the Saturday Kāpiti Market and the Kāpiti Women’s Triathlon on Sunday also take place.
If you need to travel through the area, plan ahead, allow extra time and consider taking a different route if you’re driving.
Limited access to Otaraua Park
To support the tournament, Otaraua Park on Lancelot Grove, Otaihanga is being used as a practice driving range for players.
From 14 to 23 February 2026:
- Sports fields will be closed to the public.
- The carpark and river trail remain open, but there is no access through the sports fields.
- Volunteers from Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club will manage the practice area during the day.
- Gates will operate as normal, opening at dawn and closing at dusk. A night security presence will be in place.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
