Star Glaze 2026 Mid Winter Ceramics Festival

Join Ōtaki Pottery Club for the 2026 Star Glaze Mid Winter Ceramics Festival, an exciting celebration of art and the traditions of Matariki, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Ōtaki Māori Racing Club.
The festival kicks off with a captivating opening ceremony, marking the beginning of a vibrant weekend filled with diverse hands on activities, inspiring exhibits, delicious food, lively music, and much more. Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Matariki and discover the magic of pottery in a festival like no other.
Friday also features race day at the venue, adding to the atmosphere and making for a lively start to the weekend. On Saturday, don’t miss the public raku firing, a hands on and visually striking experience that is always a highlight for visitors.

Gate entry is $10 on Friday, no entry fee on Saturday.
