Mini Mosaics on Thursdays - 4 weeks

Learn to create gorgeous mosaic designs with Vaune Mason. Your 4-week block will give you time to learn the basics and then create two or more simple and stunning mosaic projects. The course starts on Thurs 10 September and runs for 4 weeks till Thurs 1 October, 10am-1pm. This class is ideal for learning the essential basics of mosaic - using colourful glass pieces. It is also a fantastic way to keep up your mosaic practice - in a glass-safe space, where you can make the mess you can’t make in the house. We will be working on mini mosaics that are super fun and fast to make, before moving onto something a little bigger. Beginners will learn: Choosing and preparing your bases Planning and choosing designs for your experience Options for safely and easily sniping glass into small squares and shapes for your designs and what other materials you could use Adhesive choices - level 1 will work with interior pieces for this block. Grouting and finishing your mosaics - including mounting options and more. Those with some experience may wish to try more advanced designs and / or larger designs. This is a warm and friendly class with excellent support and learning for complete beginners and more advanced students. All tools are supplied, though you are welcome to bring your own tools and glass if you have them. Your materials for your beginner projects are supplied as part of your course fee. Young makers aged 12 and up are welcome to join the class. Anyone under the age of 16 must attend with an enrolled parent or caregiver.
