Join the fun at our libraries and pools this school holidays!
Our libraries are buzzing with summer energy – discover new stories, complete fun challenges and help us reach one million minutes of reading across the district with our Kāpiti Summer Reading Challenge – Te Wero Pānui Raumati. Tamariki, teens and the whole whānau can jump in anytime – it's relaxed, it's creative and it's the perfect way to fill long sunny days!
There’s plenty happening at our pools too, with Summer SPLASH! bringing big inflatable fun to all three pools. Turn up the festive cheer at our special Santa SPLASH! on Saturday 20 December and enrol now for our School Holiday Intensive Swim Classes at Waikanae Pool to fast track your child's swim goals.
Summer is the perfect time to explore Kāpiti. With 40 kilometres of coastline, 500+ hectares of parks and sportsgrounds, and 200 kilometres of tracks, trails and horse-riding paths, there are endless opportunities for adventure. Head out and enjoy our tracks and trails, parks and reserves and beaches.
