Sports Bank opening
Saturday 7 March
1.30 – Official opening and blessing
2–4pm – Sports Tasters
Mazengarb Park, Paraparaumu
Join us for the opening of the Kāpiti Sports Bank. We will have Sports Tasters onsite to allow you to give sports a go and your chance to meet a Sports Star.
The sports bank collection Bins will be available on site all afternoon for people to donate there good condition sports equipment. Sausage sizzle and coffee cart will be available.

Takutai Kāpiti: Climate Change and Our Coast Summit
Ngā Purapura, 144 Tasman Road, Ōtaki
The Summit launches a significant community engagement project that aims to encourage and empower our communities to become more aware of the impacts of climate change and sea level rise and to take part in developing solutions and pathways for adapting to coming change.
Parks Week 2020
Parks Week is an annual international celebration celebrating the important role parks play – for people, communities, and the natural environment, encouraging greater use of parks, celebrating the contribution that volunteers make to parks and promoting healthy parks and healthy people message.

This is a free, all-ages 10km, 6km and 1km walk and run. Its open to all the whānau and tops off our celebration of Parks Week 2020.

Māoriland Film Festival

Get set for the largest Indigenous film festival in the Southern Hemisphere. In March 2020 Māoriland Film Festival will once again present amazing films from all parts of the world with the theme of Me Reretau – Be in Balance.
