Apply for an interment
You can apply for an interment at one of Council's cemeteries if a plot is needed now.
- Complete our online cemetery interment form – you'll automatically be emailed a copy of your submission, once you have successfully submitted the form.
- For natural burials, you'll need to complete the Conditions for natural burial and agreement form [PDF 212 KB].

All bookings are processed and approved by Council during working hours, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. If you're requesting an interment booking for the following day, please fill out the form and then contact us immediately. Applications must be received before 3pm the previous Friday for a Monday interment.
For any queries regarding the plot, contact Customer Services or email our Cemeteries team. To confirm a booking, we need all documentation at least 24 hours before casket burials and ash interments.
Interment service times
Burial and ashes services are held:
- Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm
- Saturday, 9am–1pm.
Special arrangements can be made outside these hours and for weekends and public holidays, but additional costs apply.
Regulations
All burials and ash interments are carried out in accordance with the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 and Council's Cemetery Bylaw 2016.
Apply to erect a plaque or monument form
Apply to install a memorial at one of Council's cemeteries. Council staff must approve any plan to install a memorial.
