Waikanae Capital Improvement Grant Allocations

The purpose of the Capital Improvement Grant is to assist Waikanae organisations with capital projects, which must be of benefit to a significant portion of the Waikanae community. For the purpose of this Grant, capital expenditure is considered to be money spent by an organisation to acquire equipment or to upgrade and improve assets, which may include items such as property or buildings.

Note the financial year runs from 1 July to 30 June.

Funds Allocated 2017/2018

Projects funded by the Waikanae Community Board's Capital Improvement Grant in 2017/18 are listed below. All dollar values are exclusive of GST.

Ngatiawa Retreat $10,000 To assist with the upgrade of the sewage system. 
Lions Club of Waikanae $1,000 To assist with the purchase of an AED defibrillator.
Waikanae Playcentre $6,000 To assist with re-roofing costs for the playcentre building. 
Kapiti Coast Museum Inc $1,716 To assist with the purchase and installation of a replacement heat pump. 
Reikorangi Residents Assn $5,000 To assist with construction costs for a public toilet at Mangaone South carpark.
