This week in Kāpiti – all you need to know

4 Nov 2025

It’s a busy week on the Coast! The sun’s shining, Waikanae Pool is open, and the Ōtaki splash pad is ready for little water lovers. A reminder that if you’re celebrating Guy Fawkes with fireworks, please do so safely and keep pets calm indoors.

We’ll be cheering on our community (and Council team!) at the Kāpiti Half Marathon on Sunday. Make sure you plan ahead for road closures in Paraparaumu Beach and for roadworks across the district if you’re out exploring the Kāpiti Coast Art Trail.

Following last week’s inauguration, the next Council meeting is on Thursday 6 November, and Additional Dwelling workshops are happening this week offering practical, expert advice.
